Jose Mourinho would like Manchester United to sign two defenders and an attacker before the close of the summer transfer window, according to reports in England.

The Independent claims that the Red Devils manager is still hoping to get three more transfer deals over the line before the start of the 2017-18 Premier League season.

According to the same article, there is a feeling at Manchester United that the club’s owners, The Glazers, have been more conservative in terms of funds allocated for transfers this summer.

The story goes on to reveal that the Europa League winners are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier as Mourinho looks to strengthen his full-back options.

The Manchester United manager is happy to stick with England international Luke Shaw at left-back despite his criticism of the former Southampton defender last summer.

Victor Lindelof was the first of Manchester United’s summer signings after the Red Devils completed a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Benfica in June.

The EFL Cup holders managed to win the race to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal ahead of their title rivals Chelsea last month.

Nemanja Matic swapped the English champions for Manchester United in a £40m transfer on Monday evening.
