Hajiya Abubakar said despite the paucity of funds, the government has carried out so many programs aimed at improving the lives of women of the state such as the provision of free medical health services to pregnant and under five children and other empowerment schemes.
” I also wish to request that you ensure good upbringing of your children by giving them both moral and formal education. I urge you to engage in viable businesses for self empowerment and encourage pregnant women to go for antenatal and post natal health services so that both the mother and child will be healthy”.
She finally advised the representatives of the women from the tafsir centers to ensure fair and equitable distribution of the donated items to beneficiaries. Items distributed to the women include sugar, rice, millet, cooking oil, and wrappers.
