Real Madrid’s reluctance to part with more than £75m for Kylian Mbappe has opened the door for Arsenal to sign the Monaco striker
Spanish outlet ABC, as quoted by the Sun, is claiming that Real Madrid are not prepared to splash any more than £75m on trying to sign Mbappe this summer.
The same story claims that Arsenal are free to make a move to bring the 18-year-old to The Emirates in a deal worth as much as £120m.
Arsenal have been linked with a bid for the teenage striker in recent days and the north London side were said to have had an initial offer turned down by Monaco this week.
Other conflicting reports this week claimed that Mbappe has decided to stay on at Monaco for at least another season.
Whatever happens, it seems that Mbappe’s future could be one of the long-running transfer sagas of this summer’s window.
Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new players this summer as Arsene Wenger looks to transform his team into title challengers next term.
